Bunbury Webster Weaving

The Bunbury Webster Weaving Group practice the ancient craft of Loom Weaving on both floor and table models.

The group was formed in 1984 and today boast ten quality John Wallace pine looms and a Lotus jarrah loom. The looms are permanently housed at the Stirling Street Arts Centre in a dedicated studio and are in constant use by the groups members

An extensive library and supply of yarn has evolved over the years and is available from the group, as well as some tuition by request.

Inkle Loom Weaving, Card or Tablet Weaving and Japanese Kumihimo are practised by our members. Our oldest and most experienced member has expertise with fine thread weaving including using silk.

The group is an affiliated member of The Spinners and Weavers Guild of WA and networks with our other local groups to keep up with trends
